The Wetlands Conservancy is turning 40 this year! We would like to invite you to celebrate our success by participating in an exciting series of events leading up to our major event in May – Wetlands & Wellies!
World Water Day – March 22nd
Join us for an exploration of the Blue Heart Chronicles – The Wetlands Conservancy is celebrating World Water Day, with a presentation and video from Duncan Berry – The story of life as told by water. Registration now open.
International Beaver Day – April 7th
Join us for a presentation by Ben Goldfarb, the author of Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter, a live online presentation and Q & A on the amazing adaptations and capabilities of these natural engineers. Beavers are Oregon’s state mammal.
Halfshell Oyster Fest – TBD
The Oregon coast offers a cornucopia of seafood. Learning what is sustainable and in season ensures a great meal. The Wetlands Conservancy is hosting an online oyster cooking show, featuring a high profile Oregon chef demonstrating how to shuck and prepare Oregon coast oysters.
May – American Wetlands Month & our 40th Year Celebration
This year, The Wetlands Conservancy will host a week-long celebration with a suite of events culminating in our annual fundraiser – Wetlands & Wellies!
