Beavers are the ultimate “ecosystem engineers”. No other wildlife species’ behavior is as critical to the viability of so many other species in this environment. Greg Lewellan will share the history of beaver in the Tualatin Basin from abundance to near extinction. Beavers are the only animal with the potential to restore wetlands for the benefit of fish, wildlife and people. Join us to learn more about Tualatin Basin efforts encouraging and allowing beaver to perform their ecological roles while mitigating negative effects.
