Office Happenings

2014 was a big year in TWC office land and 2015 is promising continuing growth. When we think of land protection, we conjure up incredible images of beautiful landscapes and wetlands. Protection of these special places would not happen without a lot of behind the scenes paperwork, conversations, spreadsheets, maps and stories.

The new growth started with our communication coordinator Kendra Manton’s launch of our social media programs in March 2014. This was followed up with more regular communication to our members and supporters through E-Newsletters and topic related E-blasts. In February, we launched our newly designed website which is the hub of all TWC communications highlighting  stories, volunteer opportunities, pictures and videos from the field. In parallel, we have also updated our databases and map systems to better serve our field staff and supporters.

In May, among other activities to celebrate National Wetlands Month, we are looking to launch a new version of our membership program. This summer we will be looking for volunteers to help us organize and populate our photo and video library with more images and videos of wetlands, wildlife and wetland conservation activities around the state to showcase Oregon’s Greatest wetlands. Watch our website for more info this summer.
