In conjunction with The Wetlands Conservancy’s Ode to the Tides Art show, Janet Essley will present a talk on one of the furthest migrating species in the world, the Red Knot sandpiper. Essley takes us on a journey with Red Knots to tidal flats around the world that they use during their annual migrations. Through Cultural Cartography, Essley guides us with incredible works of art through the science and conservation of this impressive shorebird and the efforts to preserve the habitat upon which they depend.
