Land Tending at Leach Botanical Garden
Johnson Creek Watershed Council
Gather with JCWC in the Back 5 at Leach Botanical Garden for a morning of land tending and appreciation! This work helps to increase Pacific Northwest ecosystem diversity in an expanding habitat area and supports our collaborative Back 5 educational project. No experience necessary!
The Leach Botanical Garden is a hidden gem in outer SE Portland. Beyond the manicured paths of the garden are several acres of forests and fields which have become overrun by Himalayan blackberry, English ivy, and other plants that discourage diversity. The garden needs your help to become a healthy ecosystem again!
Thank you for volunteering to open spaces to promote a healthy ecosystem in the Leach Botanical Garden. Volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the rest of the garden after the event.
