Holly Whittling with Bark

Defending and Restoring Mt. Hood

Join TWC partner, Bark, as thy take an in-depth look at the history and uses of the highly invasive holly plant, ilex aquifolium. They’ll look into why it was introduced, how it has impacted our PNW environment, and how we can use it responsibly. After the warm-up, we’ll begin an intro to whittling workshop for adults! Some supplies can and will be provided, but bring your own whittling knife (fixed blade or locking blade) if possible.

The location of the workshop itself will be indoors at Bark’s Office at 351 NE 18th Avenue, Portland, OR. 97232. This event will be classroom-style learning so bring pencil and paper if you want to take notes. Gender-neutral restrooms will be available.
