Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Community Science Program

Join Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District in their mission to track and resist damage to some of our most vital local riparian species, the Oregon Ash. This program is made up of a trained group of volunteers to monitor the Emerald Ash Borer on residential property. Participants must reside in Clackamas County.

  • Must have an ash tree on your property. Not sure? Try iNaturalist or this guide made by OSU to identify your trees

  • Can commit to a 2.5 hour training

  • Can commit to servicing an EAB trap on your property every two weeks, May-September. This includes replacing the preserving liquid and observing your specimens.

  • Must be comfortable with handling certain chemicals (RV Antifreeze, ethyl alcohol, and Z-3 hexanol lures)

When: May 3rd, 2025. 9:00-11:30 a.m.
