MLK Day of Service at Nyberg Preserve

Join TWC volunteers for a day garbage cleanup at Nyberg Preserve. With careful restoration and stewardship, this urban wetland has undergone a massive transformation over the past 10 years. It is now home to beavers, birds, amphibians, fish and many native plants. But parking lots, drive-thrus, highway exit ramps and overpasses on all sides mean that lots of trash and debris rolls or floats into Nyberg all the time. Help us clean it up! This event has an easy route and a hard route. You may choose to stay on pavement and collect trash with a mechanical grabber, or you may choose to borrow waders and venture into the mud where you'll squat, hunch, and haul wet trash from the depths. Either way, all equipment is provided and it looks like we’ll have a sunny day! Click here to RSVP
