Intro to Dragonflies

CSWC is teaming up with the Bird Alliance of Oregon and Thomas Meinzen of Friends of Trees for an evening of dragonflies (v: dragonfly-ing). Thomas will give us the inside scoop on the estimated 22 dragonflies that make an appearance throughout Whitaker Ponds!

We’ll introduce you to the life history and ecology of these amazing flying mosquito-eaters, seeking skimmers and saddlebags, darners and dancers, pondhawks and meadowhawks, and more! Through binoculars, the technicolor wonder of these fascinating creatures really pops! Of course, we’ll stop to admire birds as well. Absolute beginners are welcome.
