Volunteer to lead school groups on salmon watch field trips. No previous experience or knowledge related to salmon conservation is required! 

Volunteers will receive all relevant training about salmon biology, macroinvertebrates, riparian habitats, water quality, and invasive species. Volunteers also gain skills in group management and safety, effective methods for hands-on teaching, strategies for working with kids, and more. Volunteer training is held on Saturdays in September, but if  you cannot do in person training we provide virtual materials for you to learn from. 

There are 3 options for volunteer training sessions:

Option 1: Saturday, September 14th, 10am-3pm. Dabney Creek Recreation Area

Option 2: Saturday, September 21st, 10am-3pm. WildWood Recreation Area

Option 3: Saturday, September 28th, 10am-12am. Virtual
